12th EUFRAS, 65th IALB and 15th SEASN Conference 2026
TAILORED LEARNING AND LEADERSHIP TO EMPOWER YOUTH, WITH A FOCUS ON WOMEN IN AGRICULTURE
International meeting of advisors, experts and partners in agricultural developmenta
Conference registrationThe joint IALB, EUFRAS and SEASN Conference 2026, which will bring together agricultural advisors, experts, institutional representatives and practitioners from across Europe, is organised by the Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry of Slovenia (CAFS) in cooperation with the SEASN network. The conference is dedicated to the following central theme: “Targeted initiatives to promote the inclusion of women and young people in agriculture – with tailored learning opportunities and leadership training.”
European agriculture is undergoing a profound transformation driven by climate change, environmental pressures, digitalisation and evolving market conditions. These changes require new skills, innovative learning approaches and stronger collaboration across the agricultural sector. In this context, generational renewal and the active inclusion of women are essential for ensuring innovation, resilience and long-term sustainability in rural areas. However, both groups continue to face structural, educational and institutional barriers that limit their full participation and leadership potential.
Agricultural advisory services play a crucial role in addressing these challenges. Advisors increasingly act as facilitators of innovation, organisers of learning processes and connectors within Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems (AKIS). The conference will explore practical approaches, innovative advisory models and good practices that strengthen inclusion, leadership and knowledge exchange, contributing to a more sustainable and forward-looking European agricultural sector.
The conference addresses the role of advisory services in the transformation of European agriculture, with a focus on the inclusion of young people and women, as well as the development of modern approaches to knowledge and innovation transfer. It provides a platform for exchanging experiences, showcasing best practices, and strengthening cooperation among experts from across Europe.
Why is it important?
In a time of rapid changes in agriculture, the development of effective advisory systems is becoming crucial for the future of European rural areas. The conference represents an important European platform for aligning approaches, exchanging experiences, and strengthening the role of advisory services as drivers of knowledge, innovation, and collaboration.
